Thank you for voting on my third November 2020 polls!

Both Hillsong and Elevation Worship polls were close!  Hillsong Worship’s I Surrender won by a single vote.  While Elevation worship’s Unstoppable God won by three, Clay informed me that I’ve already reviewed it!  Therefore, I’ve added second place, Give me Faith, to the schedule.

This post contains one regular poll with eight songs. Vote for up to three songs.  I will review the top two voted songs.  Ties will be broken based on earliest submission.

This poll will close at the end of October 31st, 2020. The song submission form will be offline until mid-December; However, feel free to send your Hillsong, Elevation Worship, or Christmas submissions by contacting me.  Limit one song per user per week. You have until the end of October to submit your Christmas songs!  There’s plenty of room!

Clay

Was just noticing that Unstoppable God had gotten polled again even though it was already reviewed earlier this year. Was there a particular reason for this?
Keep up the good work.

    Clay,

Great question, and thank you for your compliment!

Usually, I check my list to see if I’ve already reviewed a song before polling it; However, I forgot to on this song. Thank you for letting me know I’ve already reviewed it! I’ve chosen second place to review in its stead.

I’m just curious, why do you poll so many “pop/secular” songs? It’s obvious that your assessment would find that they’re terribly for corporate worship. Is it because you have subscribers who want you to? I personally prefer your assessment of the more modern corporate worship genre. That’s the most applicable thing I see and what has me subscribing to your email list. Blessings!

    Chris,

    Great question!

The polling queue is based on users who submit songs via the submission form (currently down due to high volume). While some of the songs submitted are from Christian artists, there are others that are pop/secular that some users request. Usually, the pop/secular songs don’t make it through polling; However, if they get enough votes, then I’ll review them.

There are some submissions that don’t make it to polling for various reasons. For example, songs that glorify sex, drugs, drunkenness, or illegal activities won’t be added to the queue.

You can see the entire polling queue to get an idea of what’s coming, in terms of polling and what I’ll review next. The schedule is unusually long because I’ve added placeholders for the upcoming Christmas polls that will come out in the next two weeks.
