Gather 25 is a project led by Jennie Allen and other Christina leaders to hold a global Christian event aimed to unite believers worldwide for 25 hours of prayer, repentance, worship, and commissioning to share the Gospel. This event took place from February 28 – March 1, 2025 where 20 worship leaders from 10 nations, singing in eight languages led the worship, branded as “Gather Worship”.

Lyrics can be found at https://essentialworship.com/songs/gather-worship/the-image/.  I apologize for the guitar tabs.  This is the best version I could find.

1. What message does the song communicate?

This song focuses on the life, sacrifice, and divine nature of Jesus Christ, On Jesus as the embodiment of God’s love, mercy, and righteousness, revealed through His life, death, and eternal presence, inspiring worship and a deep personal connection. It portrays Jesus as both fully human (walking with sinners, dying on the cross) and fully divine (the image of the unseen God), whose actions and character reconcile humanity to God. The song invites the listener to “see” and “know” Jesus, leading to an experience of being loved and a response of praise.

This message ties together the theological themes of salvation, grace, and divine revelation, making it a heartfelt expression of Christian faith and adoration.

Closing Comments

Gather Worship’s THE IMAGE glorifies Jesus Christ as the compassionate, sacrificial, righteous, and divine Savior who reveals God’s nature and offers love, mercy, and grace to humanity. It exalts His life, death, and eternal reign, presenting Him as worthy of praise and devotion for both His actions and His identity. And finally, it can easily be interpreted for what it is by an outsider – as honoring the role of Jesus in salvation and His embodiment of God’s attributes.

This song is highly suitable for corporate worship.
